The North Carolina Travel Industry Association provides resources for anyone interested in issues relative to North Carolina‘s travel and tourism economy. North Carolina is one of the most visited vacation and leisure destinations in the United States, with 300 miles of beautiful beaches, scenic mountains and vibrant cities. Tourists who visit NC generate significant economic benefits for local residents, businesses and governments. Visitors spent over $19 billion in our State in 2012!

The North Carolina Travel Industry Association was established in 1955 by then Governor Luther Hodges, and given a mission to consolidate resources and promote our great State. To this day, the Association remains open to anyone interested in becoming a member, but most are local businesses or statewide organizations that thrive on the tourism economy.
